While we do not want to "lose" any of our teacher leaders, we recognize that that professional of education will benefit when top notch teacher leaders fulfill their dreams of becoming an administrator. For many valid reason, not every teacher leader wants to be an administrator. For those who do want to enter administration, below are resources to assist an administrative job search.

The interview process can be daunting. Every school seems to approach the process in a different way. A standardized and thorough preparation process enables qualified candidates to prepare to provide interviewing teams with the best information possible to make a critical decision. Be warned, the information included below could help a weak candidate look good, but it is more important that a good candidate look good.

To start your preparation process, start off with Lisa Haneberg's Interviewers' Secrets Revealed: How to ACE Your Next Job Interview. Lisa's blog has great material for both managers and applicants. Her podcast is also highly recommended.

Here is an assortment of job search materials. At this point, it contains a full range of links. Some of the links are for job search advice, some are for high level searches, some are for nation wide job searches, and finally, some are localized to Illinois. Hopefully, in a few weeks, there will be some time to sort them in a more user friendly manner and add some annotations.
