Mr. Bowers graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Upon graduation, he began teaching at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois. There, he taught physics and coached girl's basketball for five years. He received his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in 1997. Mr. Bowers joined the Rolling Meadows faculty in 1999. He currently teaches physics and physical science. During the fall season, he is the Assistant Boys Golf Coach. In 2002, in his second year of coaching tennis, Mr. Bowers took over the reigns of long time coach Neal Peterson. He hopes to maintain the tradition that the Rolling Meadows tennis program has established.
