On Sunday, October 19th, 2003 the Marching Mustangs from Rolling Meadows High School traveled to Sandwich, Illinois to participate in the Sandwich High School Renegade Marching Competition. This was the RMHS Band's final competition of the season. In Class AA parade, for the second year in a row, RMHS took 1st place and had the highest music scores overall. In Class AA field show, the RMHS ensemble took 1st place for Best Drum Line, 1st place for Music Ensemble, 2nd place for Best Color Guard, 2nd place for Best Drum Majors, and 2nd place overall.
