New Directions is an ensemble of selected groups of men and women who perform various pop, jazz, and broadway literature. The focus of this group will be on stage presence, solid vocal technique, and the incorporation of dance and theatrics with music. New Directions members are encouraged to be in other choirs that meet during the day. There is a fee of $400 to cover costume and competition expenses. Although this seems like a lot, the students get several costume changes, original music to perform, and the opportunity to travel in order to compete against other talented show choirs.
