CCR - Financial Aid Info

The government no longer publishes FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid) forms to send to schools. Instead, the government recommends the online application. You can still download a hard copy of the form, but are encouraged to apply online.  Seniors and their parents/guardians can request a personal idea number (PIN) in advance to be able to complete the FAFSA online, this is usually done in December.  PIN numbers can also be obtained at the same time the students begin their FAFSA.  The completed FAFSA can be submitted after January 1.  Students should take note of FAFSA deadline dates at the schools to which they have applied.  While many schools have a March 1 deadline date, some schools have an earlier date.  Students can also call 1-800-433-3243 for Federal student aid information.  Hearing impared students should call 1-800-730-8913. FAFSA completion sites for the February FAAM (Financial Aid Awareness Month). FAAM has now been renamed CAP (College Awareness and Preparation) and College Goal Sunday. Dates are usually posted by December.
