What is TPC?
The TPC, or Teacher Parent Council, is an independent organization of parents, teachers, and school administrators whose purpose and goal is to support the general school population of RMHS. The organization meets monthly throughout the school year to organize activities that support a wide range of needs within the school. These activities include:
- awarding Mini Grants to help fund student organizations
- awarding Scholarships to graduating seniors based on school and community involvement, work experience, and academic standing (applications are available in the College Career Room)
- managing Conference Scheduling in the fall and the spring
- providing a treat for students on Thursday of each semester's finals week
- planning and holding an Outstanding Volunteer Recognition Night in the Spring
- arranging for the Senior Luncheon at the end of the year
- providing the Student Directory (known as the Buzz Book)
In addition to these activities, TPC offers an opportunity for parent representatives from other Booster organizations, such as Athletics Boosters, Music Boosters, Choral Boosters, Debate Boosters, and Latinos Unidos, as well as parent representatives from each grade level, to share information about their organizations and student activities. Dr. Johns regularly attends meetings to share information about issues that affect the general school population and to address parent questions or concerns. Activities carried out by the TPC typically require only a nominal time commitment. Parents benefit by staying involved in their child's education in a way that does not intrude on his/her need for privacy.

Upcoming TPC meetings for the school year will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the RMHS Library on the following dates:

- Tuesday, October 9th, 2007
- Tuesday, November 13th, 2007
- Tuesday, February 12th, 2008
- Tuesday, March 11th, 2008
- Tuesday, Aril 8th, 2008
- Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 (tentative)

Monthly Market Day order pickup is the second Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. in the South Commons. Internet orders at www.marketday.com are due five days prior to the pickup date. Order forms are available in the school office and are due ten days prior to the pickup date.
