Rolling Meadows Advanced Placement Courses

AP courses allow students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. These courses have been endorsed by the College Board, a national organization that oversees AP courses to make sure each course contains a rigorous level of study.

According to the AP Fact Sheet, "Most of the nation's colleges and universities, and institutions in over 30 countries, have an AP policy granting an incoming student college credit, higher placement in courses or both, if the student earns qualifying AP exam grades."

Depending on your AP exam scores, some RMHS students begin college with sophomore standing!

Do I need to be an honors student?
NO! We believe that with hard work and motivation every RMHS student can be successful in an AP class.

What if I am not planning to go to college?
AP classes are designed to improve study skills and critical thinking which gives you the best chance of success when you graduate.
