Career Exploration Opportunities

Available For RMHS Students!

Career exploration in high school can help students better define their academic and career goals for the future.

Career Exploration Services Offered:

Interest and/or Assessment Surveys

Tools designed to help students measure their interests and potential career areas to explore.

Career Treks

Career-focused field trips to businesses conducted by the career advisor.  Students receive an overview of the industry, including necessary education and training needed for this field.   See your counselor or the career advisor web page for a current listing.  Seats are typically limited on career treks.

Trips are added throughout the year as opportunities arise.

Career Shadows

Partial to full day visits appropriate for an older student.  This is a non-chaperoned, one on one experience with a professional.  Student observes daily activities and learns firsthand about a specific career and the workplace environment. Some knowledge of the industry is required so that the student can engage the businessperson in conversation.

Student must provide own transportation.

How do you sign up?

Career exploration is totally voluntary.

Please stop by, e-mail, or sign up for a trek.
