A booklet with some key facts for all students in the class of 2010 was provided during Senior Guidance in September of 2009. Click above to view a pdf of the booklet.
A booklet with some great ideas for juniors will be presented to the class of 2011 during junior guidance in November and December of 2009. Check here toward the end of December for a downloadable pdf of the booklet.

So You Want To Go To College? Presentation
In October Mr. Yerkan will conduct a presentation, as part of sophomore guidance, which will focus on things students can be doing to prepare themselves for college. A similar presentation was done in the evening at the Forest View Educational Center for D214 families on Tuesday, October 6. To view a pdf of the District program click on the link above.
The District 214 College Counselors hosted an NCAA Athletics Night on Wednesday, November 18 at 7PM in the Forest View Educational Center Theatre. The presenter for the program was Maureen A. Harty, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Academic Services and Student Development at Northwestern University. To see the powerpoint for the presentation, click on the tab above.

District 214 Financial Aid Night
District 214 College Counselors sponsored a Financial Aid Night on January 14th, 2009. The powerpoint of our scheduled presenter, Scott Sebring of Illinois Weselyan University, can be downloaded to your desktop by clicking on the link above. Since Mr. Sebring was unable to come to present, John Hammond, College Counselor at Wheeling High School, conducted the financial aid presentation. For the 2009 - 2010 school year we will have two separate financial aid presentations - one will be geared toward seniors/parents and the other will be geared toward juniors/parents. Click on the CCR calendar, above or in the left column, for dates and times.
