Traditionally students have been told not register with the NCAA until September of their senior year, when sixth semester grades are locked. While this is still a good recommendation, students can register after June of their junior year if they would like to begin their college athletic contacts.
On Tuesday, November 6, 2007 D214 College Counselors hosted a NCAA Night at Buffalo Grove High School. The presentation was conducted by Maureen A. Harty, Assistant Athletic
Director-Compliance at Northwestern University. To download the powerpoint presentation to your desktop, click here.
Student Athlete Guidance Booklet
Frank DuBois of Lewis University spoke at RMHS NCAA night on March 10, 2004 and created a 30-page "Student Athlete Guidance" booklet. This is an excellent summary of information that all college-bound athletes should have.
