Scholarship Opportunities

The following are scholarship opportunities received in the College and Career Room during the current year and are applicable for the following school year.  They are posted on this page and in Naviance as they arrive.  Applications can be accessed using the link.

9. 10/10/17 2018 Profile in Courage essay Contest $various

U.S. H.S. students in grades 9-12; past winners and finalists are not eligible; employees of John Hancock and members of their families are not eligible; must register online; essays submitted online(preferred) or via regular mail by postmark date of 1/4/2018. 11. 10/24/17 Paramount Tall Club of Chicago $750

Graduating high school senior who lives in the Chicagoland area and meets the height requirements, 5’10” for females and 6’2” for males. Will attend either a 2 yr. or 4 yr. college. 12. 10/26/17 Illinois Society of Professional Engineers 2018 $1000

H.S. sr., U.S. citizen 3.5/4.0 GPA, SAT 600 Math/500 Verbal or ACT 29 Math/25 Verbal, enroll in accredited college engineering program, accredited by ABET-EAC; live in North Suburban Cook County. For information and an application click HERE.

13. 10/27/17 D214 National Louis Full Tuition Scholarship $$Full Tuition

Two D214 Seniors to attend NLU’s Wheeling Campus. Open to seniors at any D214 H.S; renewable for 4 yrs.; 2.0/4.0 or higher H.S. 14. 10/30/17 Robert Morris University/D214 Full Tuition Scholarship $$Full Tuition

Robert Morris University/D214, four-year full tuition scholarship, two scholarships per D214 high schools. For information and an application click HERE.

15. 11/1/17 National Louis University/The Dream.US $$Full Tuition

Demonstrate significant financial need; letter of rec; two student essays required; Must be DACA or TPS approved or eligible; high school GPA of 2.5 or higher; no earned college credit (excluding dual credit, AP or CLEP); be accepted and enroll full time for the next academic year. 19. 11/14/17 University of Michigan, The Geisinger Scholarship Program $20,000 The scholarship program will provide $20,000 in annual support to students from selected geographic areas, IL is one; first-year students admitted to the College of Engineering at the University of MI, Ann Arbor 2018/19 academic yr; must be enrolled full-time pursuing an undergraduate degree program in engineering; awarded for 4 yrs. of undergraduate study or through graduation, whichever is less; renewal contingent on satisfactory academic progress and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0. 20. 11/15/17 University of Illinois, 2018-19 Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver Application $ 4-yr. tuition waiver Permanent resident of the IL county from which you apply; resident of the state of IL; must be admitted or have applied to the U of IL by Jan. 2nd, 2018; must be the natural child, step-child, or legally adopted child(by Jan 1st, 2017) of the veteran on whose service your application is made. Provide a legible copy of your veteran parent’s DD Form 214 as proof of military service; ACT or SAT scores as well as the form that you received from ACT or SAT or a copy of H.S. transcript reflecting your scores will be accepted.
